Peak ICT industry body, The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has appointed Sheryle Moon as its new Chief Executive Officer to replace Rob Durie, who leaves the Association in December.
Ms Moon has worked in the ICT sector for more
than 25 years in senior leadership positions including Vice President
of Computer Sciences Corporation, and a managing partner with
Accenture. In 1999, she was named Australian Business Woman of the
Year, and she sits on a number of Australian Government advisory
boards.
Ms Moon comes to AIIA from employment services provider, Manpower
Services Australia, where she was Director of Recruitment and Staffing
Solutions, Australasia. She led one of the most complex people, process
and technology changes in Australia with the collaborative Recruitment
Process Outsourcing arrangements between Manpower and the Australian
Defence Force. Most recently, she headed a global project looking at
Manpower’s replacement front-end technology systems.
“Ms Moon is a proven ICT professional, and AIIA’s Board of Directors is
delighted with her appointment as CEO,” says AIIA’s Chairman Peter
Kazacos. “She has led organisations at the highest level, and has a
solid understanding of the issues facing the ICT industry.”
