Vignette says it will use Sun Fire servers running the Solaris 10 operating system and identity management system to "provide a single and unified model for controlling and delivering all forms of digital objects, media content, services and applications on multiple platforms to multiple devices such as phones, set-top-boxes, IP television and PDAs." Vignette's software is available now to run on Solaris 9 and Solaris 10 on the UltraSPARC processor. Availability on Solaris 10 on the Sun x64 (x86, 64-bit) platform is planned for the first half of 2007.{moscomment} |
