The Northern Territory DEET tender is part of the deployment of a second generation of hardware, software and learning systems which will be completed by Nov 2006. Ten thousand Dell Optiplex desktops and Dell Latitude notebooks will be rolled out and custom-built with a factory-installed image. Additionally, the Territory will use Dell’s Asset Tagging and Reporting Services. “Dell is proud to support the work of the Northern Territory government in integrating technology further into education, improving learning environments and driving connectivity for such a geographically dispersed student and teacher population,” said Joe Kremer, vice president and managing director for Dell Australia and New Zealand.
