Globalstar Data Everywhere service is a web-based application that provides asset owners with functions such as scheduled location alerts, the ability to locate, map, track, and search SMS and tracking history. It also supports 'geofencing', which allows users to place a perimeter around a defined 'safe' area and receive immediate alerts if the property moves outside this area. "The asset-management market is definitely in its infancy in Australia. With new technology and innovative applications rapidly appearing in this space, it is projected that within 10 years 15 percent of Australia's estimated 15 million un-powered assets will be configured with satellite-tracking services such as the Globalstar Data Everywhere service to reduce cargo loss and reduce business inefficiencies," said Quirion.{moscomment} |
