On offer are two models of base statione for indoor or outdoor use. Fujitsu claims that, by integrating industry-leading intellectual property for multiple antenna technologies such as multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) and leveraging its "world leading Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) amplifiers" it is able to provide "the highest performance, comprehensive WiMAX solution that easily scales to meet the demands of the rapidly expanding broadband wireless access market." Fujitsu has been a significant player in WiMAX silicon for some time. Its System on a Chip (SoC) solution is claimed to "optimise both performance and power consumption using state-of-the-art proprietary 90nm process technology that is ideal for PC cards and mobile device applications such as high-speed vehicular data sharing, consumer-in-motion and mobile appliance connectivity." However when it announced this product in June, it said it did not expect to have it available in commercial quantities until Q3 2007: a timetable it said was " determined by the market". |
