Sony to launch blu-ray recorder in Japan in Dec

CHIBA, Japan (Reuters) - Sony Corp. said on Tuesday it will launch its Blu-ray high-definition optical disc recorders in Japan in December, in time for the peak of the year-end shopping season but about a month behind rival Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd.
