"We have been at every Mobile WiMAX Plugfest and look forward to Wave 1 and Wave 2 certification," said Sai Subramanian, VP, product management and strategic marketing, Navini Networks. "Bringing equipment in the three different bands confirms our Smart WiMAX solution will be ready to deliver personal broadband services upon certification." He claimed that the tests had been conducted "using the exact commercial hardware platform that we currently ship. "We have demonstrated a simple software upgrade to mobile WiMAX." He added: "The same hardware will support both MIMO and beamforming with a simple software upgrade, thus delivering a platform today that can go all the way to Wave 2 Certification."
