ICT services provider to SMBs Brennan IT has inked agreements to provide outsourced telecommunications and managed IT services to Burns Philp and Australian Pipeline Trust (APT).

The managed services agreements, worth a combined value of $1.65 million over three years will provide Burns Philp and APT with onsite and remote IT support which includes a manned 24 x 7 Service Desk and ongoing proactive maintenance and monitoring of their IT infrastructure.

Brennan IT also provides Burns Philp with managed, secured Internet access, hosting and telecommunications solutions and APT with a national Private IP WAN that includes a network based Internet firewall, spam filtering and anti-virus protection.

The new Private IP WAN now links APT’s offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and includes three offsite servers hosted by Brennan IT in its new data centre.

Commenting on the deals, Matthew Lovegrove, General Manager Sales & Marketing, Brennan IT said: “We are seeing a definite move by SMBs towards managed services as a way to reduce the cost and complexity of maintaining their IT investments.

“With the present shortage of skilled IT professionals, many SMBs are discovering that by using an external provider for IT support and maintenance they are able to enjoy access to highly skilled professionals and continuity of service. The focus is now shifting from managing the technology to managing vendor contracts.” {moscomment}
