While watching a full length movie on an iPod or even a PC may not appeal to many, downloading a series of cartoons may well appeal to some who want a quick chuckle while riding the train to and from work or school. At least, that's what Apple and Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) believe. From now on, Apple iTunes users will be able to download a range of programs from the TBS channels CNN and Cartoon Network to play on their desktops, notebooks and iPod videos. The first of shows to make it to the small screen will be cartoon Network favorites Johnny Bravo and the Adult Swim series, as well as documentary show CNN Presents. At a cost of US$1.99 per episode, users may well be tempted to load up the iPod or laptop with junk food entertainment before a boring trip. Apple is quietly building up its TV shows inventory and now boasts a stable of about 150 shows. {moscomment} |
