A new report shows that demand for IT executives grew a healthy 11% in 2006, continuing a trend that started in June 2003.

The Executive Demand Index from executive search firm E.L Consult showed that drops in demand during June and May did not significantly affect the overall trend of upward growth in high level jobs.

Gains were particularly strong in the Federal Government sector. The managing director of E.L Consult, Grant Montgomery described an 11% increase in IT as a welcome sight. {moscomment}
