Australian OSS software developer, Clarity International, has signed an $A6.3 million contract with PT Telekom to supply its OSS, potentially for use across all of PT Telkom's networks.
The contract provides for a two phase implementation. The first phase, focused on data networks and services, is due to be completed by the end of 2006 and is worth approximately $A6.3M to Clarity in licence and professional services fees.

Pending successful completion of this first phase, the contract gives PT Telkom an option to proceed with a second phase rollout of Clarity OSS across the rest of its networks for additional licence and professional services fees.

According to Clarity, PT Telekom selected its OSS over other leading suppliers of OSS through an international tender process because of Clarity's ability to manage both existing and next generation networks and its track record in successfully implementing the system in complex Tier 1 telcos.
