Internode increases ADSL2+ rollout E-mail

Broadband ISP, Internode says it has "dramatically accelerated" its plans to deploy ADSL2+ broadband, with plans to install DSLAMs in a further 50 telephone exchanges taking the total planned to 113.
The total will include 14 extra exchanges in Melbourne, 12 more in Sydney, five in Canberra and seven in Brisbane. Internode managing director, Simon Hackett said work would start immediately on about a quarter of the new ADSL2+ sites. "We expect to have ADSL2+ in most of these new exchanges by the end of the year...We are also undertaking significant regional expansion in SA including Port Lincoln, Whyalla and Mount Barker.
The additional exchanges are, in Victoria, Richmond, Collingwood, Port Melbourne, Oakleigh, Brunswick, Windsor, Wheelers Hill, Toorak, Northcote, Clayton, Hawthorn, Camberwell, St Kilda and South Yarra. In NSW: Lane Cove, Balmain, Hurstville, Waverley, Petersham, Cremorne, Burwood, Kensington, Parramatta, Mosman, North Parramatta and Seven Hills. In the ACT: , Melba, Monash, Deakin, Belconnen and Lanyon. In Qld: Paddington, Toowong, Mount Gravatt, Salisbury, Eight Mile Plains, New Farm and Roma Street. In South Australia Whyalla, Port Lincoln, Osborne, Seaford, Whyalla Jenkins, Port Augusta, Stirling North and Mount Barker.
