Internode will continue to provide Internet access for the South Australian Government's 70,000 public servants for the next three years under a new $2.2 million contract. Internode will provide redundant 1Gbps fibre optic links to the SA Government's Internet Gateway from which services will be delivered to individual agencies over the government's internal network. South Australia's infrastructure minister Patrick Conlon said the contract would provide improved value-for-money for the State through a 50 per cent reduction in the cost-per-megabyte of Internet access. Internode has provided the State Government with Internet access services for more than a decade. Services under the new contract commenced last month. |
