It is compatible with all Zultys VoIP offerings and can support telephone conferencing using a VoIP phone, a mobile phone, analogue phone, digital phone, or a softphone on a PC. Apart from removing wiring clutter from boardroom tables, it is also claimed to offer exceptional acoustic performance. According to Zultys, "The phone has four microphones and a powerful DSP (digital signal processor) ensuring clarity of both the listeners as well as those at the other end of the call. The phone's speaker output is best in its class and the acoustic echo cancellation permits a natural conversation." The market for conference phones is dominated by Polycom. "When people think of conference room phones, they usually think of one supplier," said Patrick Ferriter, VP of product marketing at Zultys. "This phone will radically change the perception of what a conference phone should be like. Instead of stagnant features, Zultys has demonstrated clear technological leadership with this product." The phone can be paired with any Bluetooth phone such as the Zultys ZIP 4x5 IP phone or a cellphone. Calls can be originated on the ZIP 4x5 phone or, using voice activated dialling, on the BTC phone. It will be available from Zultys distributors ChannelWorx and Anixter at a retail price of $950 plus GST. |
