The Big Brother site http://bigbrother.3mobile.com.au/ claims to offer one of Australia’s richest online media experiences, with live video streaming from the Big Brother house 24 hours a day, hundreds of “video on demand” segments and a vast range of images from “the House”. In 2005, Hostworks successfully met a doubling of online demand for the Big Brother website, with page impressions jumping from 94 million in 2004 to more than 170 million. Ms Sam Hall, general manager of Interactive for Big Brother producer Endemol Southern Star, said: “Hostworks offered the ad-serving solution that best met Big Brother’s needs.Hostworks’ ad-serving solution is able to deliver advertisements in the middle of a video stream and it can deliver ads of varying length.” The Audit Bureau of Verification Services confirms the Internet as Australia’s fastest-growing advertising medium by reporting 2005 online advertising revenues jumped 59.8% to $620 million, after a 64% increase during 2004. Hostworks’ high-volume ad-serving solution is based on the Accipiter product.{moscomment}
