Primus has lodged an access dispute with Telstra over charges associated with Telstra's unconditioned local loop service, and Amcom has lodged a dispute, also against Telstra, over the prices charged by Telstra for connection and disconnection of the line sharing service.
The ACCC has just issued is final decision rejecting Telstra's proposal, in an access undertaking, to charge $90 for each of connection and disconnection of the line sharing service.
The ULLS involves the use of unconditioned cable, primarily copper pairs, between end users and a telephone exchange. The declared ULLS is being used by access seekers to connect to their own DSLAMs, installed in Telstra exchanges, and to deliver broadband internet access, PSTN voice and voice over IP services.
