Pacific Internet (Australia) is launching an enhanced partner program for systems integrators with a claimed unique feature: a joint Cisco and Pacific Internet accreditation called ‘Securing the SMB’.

Pacific Internet says the program has been designed with Cisco security experts to improve the way partners design, sell and service its security solutions based on Cisco hardware.

Partners will also have a dedicated account manager, priority hotline for technical support and regular training forums.  Pacific Internet says its project management office and collaborative selling techniques are also key: "with sound network advice partners can design complex network solutions with confidence".

Pacific Internet Australia currently has 265 partners and expects to have more than 400 by the end of 2006.  The company says it is looking to partners to contribute at least half of all new revenue in Australia by the middle of 2007.

Pacific Internet Australia CEO, Dennis Muscat, said: “Our new approach is guided by a desire to be transparent so partners feel integrated within our business, and also self sufficient.  We want to know where partners hope to take their business and we’ll help them get there with marketing and business development support.  Our new portal allows them to log in and see all their customers’ service details, plus see the provisioning status of orders and check their commission."
