NetComm has introduced an internal (PCI) ADSL modem for installation internally into a desktop computer that it says is ideal for system builders and OEMs.
According to NetComm managing director, David Stewart, "The NB100 addresses the growing trend of 'entertainment networking', as it is an ideal companion for Media Centre PCs. The unit allows for multimedia content to be downloaded directly from the Internet into the Media Centre unit."
The unit supports data rates up to 8Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream and complies with ANSI T1.413 Issue 2, ITU G.992.2 standards. It retails for $59.40 per unit (including GST), in boxes of 50.
