Global roaming access for Telecom NZ customers E-mail

Telecom New Zealand has launched a global remote access service in conjunction with iPass.

Telecom Office Anywhere "allows people to access their company networks and business-critical files securely from almost anywhere in New Zealand and more than 160 countries," according to Telecom NZ.

Access in most countries is via WiFi hotspots, broadband or dial-up, and also via Mobile Broadband in New Zealand and Australia and through selected mobile data cards overseas.

Users "follow a single, simple but secure log-in process, however and wherever they are connecting [and] available WiFi and mobile data networks are automatically presented to the user for quick, easy wireless access."

The iPass virtual network spans 160 countries and is claimed to include both the world's largest WiFi footprint and the most complete fixed broadband coverage in North America.
