Telstra is offering its mobile and broadband customers exclusive access to video coverage of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, live and on demand. Telstra will provide a direct feed of Channel Nine's Games coverage to Telstra BigPond broadband and Telstra 3G mobile customers. Up to eight channels of live content and highlights will be available for Telstra 3G mobile customers. All live Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games mobile and broadband content will be free to these customers. In addition to live content, broadband customers will be able to watch video coverage highlights on-demand. Customers on Telstra's 2G and 3G mobile services will also have access to a range of non-video content including news, results, real-time medal tally, text message alerts, maps, event schedules as well as ringtones, java games and wallpaper downloads. BigPond Broadband Commonwealth Games live content will commence with the Games opening ceremony on March 15 and will be available at www.m2006.bigpond.com. BigPond Commonwealth Games content on 3G will commence on the same day. |
