Unified data management company, CommVault Systems, has claimed strong growth in Australia and New Zealand announcing that for the period April to December 2005 the company recorded a 51% increase in its QiNetix platform installations compared to the same period in 2004.

“When you combine this result with the solid partnerships with Dell Inc. Hitachi Data Systems and Hewlett-Packard – and the distractions faced by its major rivals due to their recent acquisition – it becomes clear that CommVault Systems is well positioned for continued growth though the next 18 months,” said Dr Kevin McIsaac, analyst at Intelligent Research Business Services (IRBS).

According to CommVault Oceania director Gerry Sillars, the new installations occurred in both new and existing customers, indicating that its solutions were becoming more widely deployed within the installed based as well as into new customers.

“We have been very heartened by this impressive jump in QiNetix installations during the past nine months, indicating that our approach to unified data management has resonated with local clients,” said Sillars.  “Not only have we won new accounts, but we’ve managed to also sell more licenses into existing customers, thereby cementing our position at those sites.”
