Amcom has been selected to deliver South Australia's Barossa and Light project that will provide high speed Internet services to the 3,500 SMEs in these two municipalities.

Its selection for this project follows its being appointed to build and manage the 92km South Australian Broadband Research and Education Network (SabreNet). Also, Amcom previously announced a similar initiative with the neighbouring City of Salisbury to provide DSL broadband services to its 120,000 businesses and residencies.

Since 1999,  Amcom's fibre division has deployed over 700 km of metropolitan networks in Perth, Adelaide and Darwin, accessing over 660 buildings. Its Amnet division uses this network, and its DSL network to provide DSL and voice services to Corporate, SME and residential clients. It also provides LAN/WAN, data centre and ISP services to larger corporate and government enterprises.
