Market researcher, Frost & Sullivan, says it is seeing a new wave of optimism in the Asia Pacific IT market, resulting from "the resurgence of Japan's economy, the buoyant and strong economic fundamentals of India, and the relentless economic march by China," boosted by "The economic restructuring of several other countries in Asia Pacific."

F&S says that, "After more than two years of tepid spending and subdued growth expectations, IT spending is once again looking attractive. Our research findings over the last six months suggest a clear improvement in overall sentiment as decision makers become increasingly optimistic on the global economy and the prospects for businesses."

On the downside F&S sees new trends in customer buying patterns such as "smaller deals, fewer vendors and price pressures suggest[ing] the need to rethink sales and delivery.
