Nokia has published Myths of Mobility, a report "examining common assumptions to help decision makers better understand the reality of mobile technology". The report "aims to educate businesses about..misperceptions and inspire them to further investigate the issues around enabling workforce mobility." It combines Nokia research, customer case studies, and third party data to "paint a valid picture of todays mobile workforce." According to Mathia Nalappan, vice president, Asia Pacific, Nokia Enterprise Solutions, "Today many decision makers believe that mobility is not cost-effective, not secure, and is a nightmare to manage. These notions are based on assumptions from fragmented sources and second hand comments, and we hope to help clarify todays mobile landscape with this report. "There are customers of ours that are reaping the benefits of mobility as we speak, seeing return on their mobile investments, an increase in productivity, and improved employee morale. Their examples and many others combined with our research and that of third parties has produced a report that we think will help shed light on some of the confusion surrounding mobility. Nokia says the report is part of a continuing initiative to provide businesses with the reference materials and resources they need to successfully enable mobile technology within their own organisations.
