Optus has appointed Hugh Humphrey, formerly a senior Vodafone executive as marketing director, enterprise mobile and converged services in Optus Business and Jim Jaques as marketing director of its Consumer business. Featured Whitepaper

In particular he played a lead role in the development and marketing of Vodafone Business One , the converged fixed, mobile and data communications product developed by Vodafone Australia in conjunction with Cisco and Research in Motion. Prior to joining Vodafone he worked in the consulting arms of PricewaterhouseCoopers and later IBM. John Simon, managing director, Optus Enterprise and Business group, said: “Hugh will be responsible for managing an integrated sales and product marketing function within Optus Business enabling greater focus and superior execution on the tremendous growth opportunities we have in the enterprise mobility and convergence market.” Prior to joining Optus, Jaques held a series of senior roles with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Bell Mobility Cellular and Visa International. Michael Smith, managing director of Optus Consumer, said his appointment was the culmination of "an intensive global search.
