According to TiVo's exclusive distributor, Hybrid Television Services "The TiVo broadband proposition has a clear path to success with the liberation of its broadband offering placing it well ahead of broadcast-only access available through competing DVRs in the market." Hybrid notes that, in addition to the 20 percent of broadband customers that will be able to get TiVo quota free, major ISPs Optus and AAPT have unmetered plans or unmetered time of day windows. TiVo is also broadening its range of content. CEO Robbee Minicola, said: "We have started our broadband experience with the Blockbuster Movies On-Demand and today have more than 250 movies available for our customers to download and view on-demand without having to leave the couch. We would expect to grow this on-demand portfolio to include television in the very near future.” iiNet is set to release its own IPTV product that it says will be "designed to work harmoniously with the range of content in the now-bulging iiNet Freezone." iiNet’s IPTV service will be a separate offering to the TiVo partnership.
