The daily plan costs US$15 for 75 MB of usage -- enough, Verizon claims, to access more than 25,000 e-mails, 500 Web pages, or 150 low-res digital photos. The weekly plan costs $30 for 250 MB, and the monthly plan costs $50 for 500 MB. The plans are bundled with the Verizon Wireless USB760 modem. Sold for $170 with no plan or $50 with a contract, the modem will cost $130 with one of the new prepaid plans. Verizon's standard contract-based plans cost $60/month for 5 GB of usage or $40/month for 250 MB. The plans will be available at Verizon stores as of November 15 and other retailers on November 20. |
