According to industry analyst at Wainhouse Research, Brent Kelly, "by strengthening interoperability with Microsoft and continuing to invest in their partnership,” Tandberg is sending a “clear signal that the company has no intention of slowing its efforts to advance its vision of an open community of video users. "The UC Gateway is a critical development for enabling video users to connect in the best HD quality no matter where they are or what network they're on, helping to bring value to customers and drive further adoption of video conferencing." Tandberg CEO, Fredrik Halvorsen boasts that “Tandberg is breaking down the barriers to widespread video adoption and creating a standards-based video community where no one is out of reach. "This Unified Communications Gateway innovation reflects our dedication to integration with Microsoft and illustrates our video-first approach to unified communications. We are connecting communication islands and delivering value to customers that goes beyond travel reduction - we are transforming the way people work at a pace unmatched in the industry." Tandberg says the solution will be available for purchase in the first half of 2010. |
