Fujitsu has been contracted by Western Australia’s largest electricity generation company, Verve Energy, to design its new energy trading management system, which Verve claims will deliver “significant benefits” to the company and to the state.Featured Whitepaper

In’t Veld described the long-term partnership with Fujitsu as “an example of Verve Energy’s leadership in using the latest technologies available to enhance business processes and a further commitment to implementing environmentally sustainable business practices. “This contract will deliver significant benefits for Verve Energy and for the State of Western Australia,” In’t Veld said. Fujitsu Australia’s general manager Western Australia, Robert Lislois, said the project is the first phase of an important project that will include development, implementation and support. “The project consists of a six month design phase followed by twelve months of construction to build the system. The technology is .Net on Oracle database and the system has tight performance requirements, incorporating new technologies being developed by Fujitsu architects and developers.” According to Lislois, Fujitsu’s “strength in innovation, alongside our leading technologies and commitment to the local industry in Western Australia has secured an exciting and robust partnership with Verve Energy.” |
