New Content Management System (CMS) market player invests in local market and celebrates sale of 5000th licence Sydney, Australia – October 27, 2009 – EPiServer, the world’s fastest growing provider of platforms for Web Content Management (WCM) and online social communities, has opened the doors of its Australian operation to address local demand for creating and managing engaging websites more effectively and efficiently.
Based in Sydney, EPiServer’s Australian presence will support business operations for both Australia and New Zealand, where it recently sold its 5000th EPiServer software licence to Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC).
“The establishment of a direct EPiServer presence in Australia has long been a critical step in our global expansion strategy,” said Andreas Stjernström, Country Manager for EPiServer Australia and New Zealand.
“Australian organisations are increasingly relying on the power and leveragability of their online presence to conduct business. They are looking beyond simple customisation and Web 2.0 technologies, instead demanding real-time tracking and interactive marketing capabilities that turn passive web visits into dynamic, personalised web experiences that drive new revenues. Our goal is to enable them to achieve this in a cost-effective manner.”
EPiServer, which has experienced 40 per cent business growth over the last 12 months and 60 per cent license growth in the first six months of 2009, is the creator of the world’s fastest growing commercial Content Management System (CMS). Currently more than 2,500 customers around the globe are using EPiServer CMS to develop and manage collaborative and engaging websites, and the platform is the foundation of more than 9,000 websites and is used on a daily basis by more than 130,000 web editors.
The company already has an impressive stable of Australian customers, including Museum Victoria, Collage of Law, Diabetes Australia, Assa Abloy and Perth Zoo. In New Zealand, EPiSever has a strong footprint across some 10 local councils and has been deployed by several financial institutions including AXA, AMI and AMP.
EPiServer also has a host of Australian partners including Intergen, 303 and Ares, and aims to continue building its network of partners.
“We have some aggressive goals in place for our first six months, including achieving substantial local business growth, building our position as a local market leader and developing our valuable partner ecosystem,” explained Andreas.
EPiServer CMS Supports True Web Engagement EPiServer CMS is the only solution to support true Web Engagement. It differs from traditional CMS in that it is capable of adapting to users’ needs on an individual basis rather than using crude one-size-fits all rules.
This form of Web engagement is served by content, but not governed by it. Content Management efficiencies remain an essential part of the back-office editorial processes, but the user experience and how a company’s content is deployed is at the forefront. Best of all, EPiServer CMS allows companies to see who is visiting their websites and how they are navigating those sites, in real-time. This capability is invaluable for sales managers, as they can determine which potential customers are visiting the site, as well as for Webmasters who can change site functionality and layout based on visitor’s behavioral patterns.
EPiServer also offers the unique EPiServer Relate+ package, which enables companies to successfully build and manage websites and intranets, and create and work interactively with online communities, by combining community building, email composition and maintenance and a CMS in one package.
EPiServer Relate+ contains a template package in the form of a ready-to-use community, inspired by Facebook, which can be adapted to customer-specific needs and can be up-and-running very quickly.
According to Tim Walters, Ph.D., senior analyst at Forrester Research in the June 2008 report titled Stop Managing Web Content!, “Communities rival corporate sites for information and influence. Social Computing and the democratization of online conversations about brands and products have helped dethrone content. The traditional one-way messaging of the corporate site has become a two-way exchange, igniting an explosion of conversations between consumers that remain virtually invisible to the enterprises.”
