Unless an update is applied, all versions of Windows - including XP, Vista and Windows 7 - will fail to calculate the correct time in Western Australia. The issue doesn't only affect systems that are located in Western Australia - calendar items that involve WA may also go wrong without the update. The update is available here. According to Microsoft officials, this update is a temporary measure that will operate until January 7, 2010. A permanent update will be delivered as part of December's Patch Tuesday (which falls on December 8). |
