IP camera specialist Axis Communications will supply security cameras for Sydney's new Waratah train fleet.

Each train will have 98 cameras to allow the monitoring of the entire area of each carriage. "These cameras are designed specifically for transport," said Wai King Wong, Axis Communications' country manager for Australia and New Zealand. "They are very slim, very light and are designed to withstand prolonged and vigorous vibrations," he added. Features include tamper resistance, progressive scan, and Power over Ethernet. |
