Lenovo's hoping to cash in on interest in Windows 7 with a range of desktops and notebooks - including a pair of new ThinkPads - that ship with the new operating system.

Lenovo is using the Enhanced Experience label to identify configurations that are optimised for Windows 7, giving faster startup, multimedia enhancements, and easy system maintenance.

Models covered include ThinkPad T400s, R400 and X200 laptops, X200 Tablet, ThinkCentre A58 and M58 desktops and ThinkStation S20 and D20 workstations.

The new ThinkPad SL410 and SL510 notebooks are aimed at SMEs. Standard features include Core 2 Duo processors, anti-glare 16:9 screens, and multi-touch touchpads.

Lenovo paid particular attention to the needs of customers planning to use VoIP and videoconferencing by including higher resolution cameras, improved microphones, and a microphone mute button.

Options include3G, Ethernet, and Bluetooth.

Prices start at $A1049 for a base configuration SL510.
