ATTO Technology’s Celerity Fibre Channel and ExpressSAS SAS/SATA Host Adapters Achieve VMware Ready™ E-mail
Thursday, 15 October 2009
Amherst, NY – ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, today announced that its 8Gb/s and 4Gb/s Celerity Fibre Channel Host Adapters and 6Gb/s and 3Gb/s ExpressSAS SAS/SATA Host Adapters have achieved VMware Ready™ status. This status designates that Celerity and ExpressSAS host adapters have passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and are now listed on the VMware Hardware Compatibility List.

Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that Celerity Fibre Channel host adapters and ExpressSAS SAS/SATA host adapters make best use of VMware technology and are ready for deployment in customer environments.

“We are pleased that ATTO’s Celerity and ExpressSAS HBAs qualify for the VMware Ready logo, signifying to customers that they have passed specific VMware testing and interoperability criteria, and are ready to run their mission-critical business applications and operations,” said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware.

“ATTO is proud to announce that we are now delivering valuable connectivity solutions to customers looking to seamlessly integrate storage into VMware environments,” said Tim Klein, president and CEO, ATTO Technology. “By using Celerity and ExpressSAS host adapters with VMware ESX enterprises can increase the benefits of server virtualization by providing greater I/O bandwidth and storage capacity for the deployment of multiple virtual machines running various applications.”

The VMware Ready program is a VMware co-branding program for qualified partner products and is a benefit of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. With more than 1200 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.
