Walls said QPS had been an Objective customer since 2001 and had used the solution primarily for administrative and records management in specific areas. “This project will see Objective used in all police locations throughout Queensland to support records management practices,” Walls said, adding that Objective “brings expertise and knowledge from working on a similar project with WA Police.” According to Walls, “in 2007, Objective’s leading edge search capabilities and police cooperation across the country helped West Australian and Tasmanian Police find evidence needed to charge a suspect for a string of serious and previously unsolved crimes after a similar legacy migration in WA. “Objective has the capacity to provide easy-to-use, seamless access to any record regardless of content, format, location or source across all levels of QPS from administrative staff through to police on the beat. |
