Kyocera Mita celebrates 20 years of solid growth in ANZ E-mail
Tuesday, 06 October 2009
Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today celebrates two decades of solid performance, growth and innovation in Australia and New Zealand with more than 181,000 devices currently running in 42,000 organisations around the region.

Kyocera Australia first opened for business as a local operation with small branch offices in 1989. Twenty years on, after acquisitions including the Mita Corporation, General Business Machines and Action Copiers, Kyocera Mita has become a leading document management solutions provider in the Australian and New Zealand market.

“Since setting up shop in Australia 20 years ago, Kyocera has maintained an excellent track record, riding the economic highs and lows and continuing to grow when many vendors suffered. This year alone we’ve achieved six per cent growth year-to-date,” said David Finn, Managing Director for Kyocera Mita Australia.

“This success has been a result of our ability to provide what businesses are demanding - innovative technology that enables them to reduce costs and helps them become environmentally responsible. It is also due to the hard work and dedication of the 183-strong Kyocera Mita team, and a solid ecosystem of valuable partners.”

Kyocera Mita is widely known for its devices’ low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and for minimising the impact of devices on the environment through its unique ECOSYS technology and the KyoCollect recycling program. It has received accolades for its environmental credentials - including ‘Green IT vendor of the year’ - and its products are consistently praised by leading industry commentators. It recently received several BERTL’s Best Awards for its TASKalfa® Multifunctional Devices and A4 monochrome laser printers, while its colour laser printers were also recognised for quality and reliability with a PC Advisor Gold Award, a Better Buys for Business 2009 Editor’s Choice Award and a Bertl’s Best Award.

“As we enter into a new decade, we’re preparing to introduce an exciting Managed Print Services (MPS) offering that will continue to drive our focus on helping organisations cut costs, instead of cutting staff, and further demonstrate that it is absolutely possible to save money and reduce e-waste at the same time,” concluded Finn.
