5 Best Practices for Smartphone Support
One of the latest arrivals is MacPromo's security bundle. This €49.99 bundle includes six pieces of software from Mac security specialist Intego (which is also the promotor of this bundle), plus another half-dozen security and utility programs from other vendors. The Intego products are VirusBarrier X5, Personal Backup X5, ContentBarrier X5, NetBarrier X5, Personal Antispam X5, and FileGuard X5. At Intego's current pricing, the six applications would cost approximately €135 ($US196.94). Bundle purchasers will receive virus definition and filter updates for 12 months, but will not be entitled to free updates to any X6 versions that may appear. The remaining items in the bundle are Micromat's TechTool Pro 5 (system repair and maintenance), Absolute's Computrace LoJack (helps locate stolen computers - but only available in certain North American and European countries), Macware's WebGhost (hides IP address when browsing), JoeSoft's Klix (photo recovery), MOApp's MyWallet (store passwords and other data), and Smith Micro's Spring Cleaning. List price for the dozen applications is said to be €500. As a bonus, the first 10,000 buyers also receive a copy of Radio Gaga, an internet radio 'tuner' and recorder. The offer ends on October 31, 2009. If that collection doesn't appeal, please read on for information about the MacFriendly bundle. |
