ASX-listed VoIP service provider, engi,n says it had 10,000 paid services at 30 September 2005, up 67 percent on the number at 30 June 2005 and 15,000 today. A further 4000 useits free peer-to-peer VoIP service. Engin services are sold through 17 wholesale partners and its products are available in over 1,000 retail outlets and from over 500 independent resellers nationwide. It claims 99.9 percent uptime on its core network and to have increased coverage of the engin two way service to 85 percent of the population while the engin 1 way service is national. CEO Ilkka Tales claims that the company is now connecting over 3,000 customers a mont. engin says it is on track to reach breakeven point with 30,000 customers by 30 June 2006, and that its $5.2 million cash reserves are sufficient to achieve this but that "further funding will be required to significantly increase the rate of customer acquisitions." |
