This time the Doodle is hiding the 'Google' more effectively than before – relying on the shapes of houses and a variety of negative space to carry the message.

Recapping, on September 5th we saw a flying saucer stealing Google's second 'O' and on the 15th, there were crop circles with the 'L' only partially drawn.  Expectations were that there would be a third event on the 25th. 

Many observers linked the image sequence with the birth of H G. Wells (143 years ago, today) and their speculation has apparently borne fruit with the arrival of the latest logo.

To this writer, there is still much unresolved in the story.  For instance, what was the significance of the crop circles?  They never featured in H. G. Wells' books, in fact all have been explained as late-night pranks.  Also, was there anything important about the letters missing from the first two images and the poor definition of the third?
