by Stuart Corner
Sunday, 27 November 2005
Global Touch Solutions (GTS), a global VoIP service provider has formed a partnership with Ipstar (Australia) to provide a premium video telephony service over the recently launched Ipstar1 broadband satellite.

Global Touch says it will offer home users and SMEs free video & voice calls to other IP-based video & voice phones and software applications, even outside the GTS alliance network, "with the same quality large corporations enjoy - but without the high price tag."

The service will be delivered over a 128kbps uplink, 256kbps downlink connection. Users will be able to call PSTN & mobile phones "at extremely low rates". Calls to Australian mobiles will be charged at 26 cents per minute, including GST.
