Data security vendor, Imperva, is looking to accelerate its business growth in the Asia Pacific region with the appointment of a new head of its APAC operation tasked with the responsibility of expanding the company’s reach in the regional market.

Imperva CEO, Shlomo Kramer said today that Stree Naidu had been appointed vice president of Asia Pacific as part of the company’s strong commitment to growing its international business.

Kramer said Asia Pacific was a key region in the international expansion effort and Naidu would play a crucial role in helping Imperva expand its reach in the regional data security market.

“Naidu’s depth of technical knowledge and a proven track record of effectively executing and growing new territories with great success will help accelerate our footprint in Asia Pacific. Stree Naidu has more than 15 years of experience and a reputable track record in the channel distribution model within the IT industry.”

Prior to joining Imperva, Naidu was regional vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan for Tumbleweed Communications, and was previously regional director of Asia for Plumtree Software. Naidu also worked for Brio Software, Hyperion Solutions, Sun Microsystems and the Art Technology Group.
