Shiever said Smith’s appointment was particularly timely given Citrix Online’s tremendous growth in the region, and he said that “as businesses increasingly recognise the value that simple-to-use remote access and collaboration tools offer for enhancing productivity and ROI, we have an ideal opportunity to extend our leadership position in this market. “With his impressive track record and experience in the region, Nick is central to our strategy of remaining the number one choice in ANZ.” According to Smith, despite a challenging economic climate, the SaaS market has taken off considerably during 2009 and, he says, “we’ll see this trend continue, as businesses of all sizes see the value of online collaboration tools to work smarter in a challenging economic environment, provide better conditions for their employees and increase their footprint. “Citrix Online has a huge growth opportunity and I’m tremendously enthusiastic about joining the team. The rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market makes this an exciting time to join Citrix Online.” |
