According to Dickinson, Think Tank 09 was fully booked within a day, and he says the level of interest in Kaseya’s first local user group conference reaffirms the company’s plan to create user groups across Australia. “We’ve been continuously investing in education and training for our MSP partners in Australia, and the formation of user groups is the next step of supporting our local customer community.” Dickinson said Kaseya will establish nation-wide user groups to spread knowledge of managed services across Australia, and the newly formed groups would help the company’s MSP partners to “learn from each other, and also provide feedback to our product development and support services.” Dickinson said managed services have been gaining ground in Australia, as IT service providers move away from a break / fix business model, to monthly service agreements with recurring revenue, and he added, analyst firm IDC expects the IT services market in APEJ to grow to US$49.4 billion in 2009, “driven primarily by continued demand for managed services and outsourcing, as cost management becomes a key focus for organisations in the region.” |
