ERP vendor, Lawson Software and professional services firm, Deloitte, have expanded their existing partnership to deliver implementation services in New Zealand as Lawson continues its strategy of building alliances in its partner network throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Lawson’s services director for Australia and New Zealand. Axel van der Smagt, said Deloitte had been one of the company’s strategic enterprise consulting partners since 1994, and the expansion of the arrangement would see Deloitte provide a team of Lawson-certified practitioners who will use Deloitte’s “time-tested implementation methodology, FastTrack.”

van der Smagt said the expansion of services in New Zealand included model project deliverables from previous business systems implementation projects Deloitte has supported and, additionally, “Deloitte brings IP such as its enterprise value map, which can detail specific actions New Zealand customers should consider to help drive shareholder value, and correlate these actions to the Lawson functionality that can help enable them.”

According to van der Smagt, the global auditing and consulting giant’s service offering covers all aspects critical to the successful implementation of Lawson solutions, and including advice on project management, organisational change and implementation strategy, as well as the management of operations, customers and technology integration.

“This includes advice on project management, organisational change and implementation strategy, as well as the management of operations, customers and technology integration.

“We feel the partnership with Deloitte means our customers will get more from their implementations. While Lawson knows how to deliver ERP solutions with a low total cost of ownership, Deloitte knows that getting the most out of the solution involves much more than configuration.

“At a minimum, it requires an understanding of customers’ business objectives, and how Lawson can support them. With our combined expertise, our new partnership in New Zealand will help drive efficiency and improve performance within our customer organisations.”

Deloitte New Zealand, consulting services partner, Steve Wakefield, said “the deep business skills of the Deloitte team of consultants combined with the technical skills of the Lawson professional services team provides customers in New Zealand with a robust and cost-effective approach that emphasises process improvement.”
