Lawson Software bite of Four’N Twenty pie E-mail

The makers of Australia’s iconic Four’N Twenty pie, Patties Foods, has deployed a Lawson Software learning accelerator solution to train staff on Lawson systems as the company creates customised, role-based training simulations and documentation for its employees.

Pattie Foods, which has been a Lawson customer since 2005, has recently completed the implementation of Lawson Learning Accelerator after engaging in the Lawson Learning Accelerator JumpStart Program.

Lawson says all the three-part JumpStart Program is an education curriculum that helps ensure effective adoption of Learning Accelerator, and it has also set positive expectations and productive timelines for Patties Foods, as well as maximising its software investment.
 
Founded by Peter and Annie Rijs in 1966 in a small cake shop in Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Patties Foods is listed on the ASX and owns a number of iconic Australian brands including Four’N Twenty.

Patties Foods previous upgraded to Lawson M3 7.1 technology in 2008, which separated Lawson M3 applications from Lawson M3 technology, as the company sought to future-proof its investment and avoid disruptive upgrades.

Zelko Erdec, general manager of information technology for Patties Foods, said the Lawson Learning Accelerator is had provided the company with a single set of instructions and standard documentation that can be issued company wide.

“Following an evaluation of other similar solutions on the market, Learning Accelerator proved to be the most feature-rich, the most flexible and the most functionally comprehensive product available.”

Erdec said Lawson Learning Accelerator serves as a repository for training information, which can help staff members’ access information when they need a refresher on performing specific tasks within their software applications. In addition, the system helped streamline learning by focusing on the specific skills a person will need for their specific role or job function.
