Team Finite – a team from Sydney IT recruitment firm, Finite IT – joined 75,000 other runners in the Sydney City2Surf run last week, raising money for childrens’ cancer research as well as completing the run to Bondi.

Finite general manager, Duncan Thomson, said the company sponsored five runners in the race, including eight year-old Rory, two of the firm’s directors and two new staff members, and raised more than $1,900 in donations for the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia.

The institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia dedicated to research into the causes, better treatments, prevention and cure of childhood cancer.

Thomson said the team from Finite completed the full, 14 kilometre race. The race, from Hyde Park in central Sydney to Bondi Beach, is billed as the world’s biggest running event.
