Stratatel (ASX: STE) has released a mobile phone application that captures, records and automatically integrates billable time into law firms' (or any other professionals') practice management systems that use Stratatel's Softlog.Enterprise technology.Featured Whitepaper

Stratatel claims that "softlog.mobile...not only captures all billable time and client details on all inbound and outbound calls, but also regularly and accurately updates individual client and case information necessary for full cost recovery. Softlog.mobile runs on BlackBerries (v4 or later software), or any Nokia handset running Symbian S60 Rev 2 or later. When ending a call the user is prompted to allocate the call to either an account code (for charging back) or an internal cost centre, or to mark the call as personal. Data from the handset is automatically fed into the practice's Softlog.Enterprise server for on-charging and statistical analysis purposes. Softlog claims to have been providing cost recovery to legal firms in Australia for 20 years. The company was acquired by Stratatel in 2007. Stratatel started life offering FleetManager, a system enabling organisations to track and account for the costs of running large numbers of cellphones.
