The NC10 is a 10.2 inch (25cm) netbook with a claimed "stunning WSVGA (1024 x 600) SuperBright non-gloss LED screen." According to Optus, "The LED technology ensures that the screen is thinner, up to 33 percent brighter, and uses much less power than a traditional LCD screen." Telstra is offering two Acer netbooks and an Acer laptop and claims a key feature of the latter as being its eight hour battery life. Optus and Samsung claim to match this in the NC10 saying it comes with "a six cell battery capable of just up to eight hours." Emmanuele Silanesu, national product and marketing manager of Samsung Australia's IT Division, said: “We have been looking at the netbook market for some time to see where we could really add value for consumers. This is the first time we have partnered with a telecommunications provider to further enable consumer take-up and awareness of our IT solutions."
