The developer, Switzerland-based akosma software, suggests it might be handy when biking or in a crowd, but I'm not really convinced. Another possible use might be as a baby monitor - leave an iPod touch in the nursery and listen in via your iPhone. The other puzzle is that while the the app costs $US0.99, the source code is freely available under a BSD-like licence. iPhone OS 3 is required. If you plan to use bluewoki on an iPod touch, you'll need the second-generation hardware plus a compatible microphone. |
