Web hoster, Hostway, has set a new low price point for registration of .com and .com.au domains through IntaServe, its domain registrar channel. Amin Kroll, managing director, Hostway, said, “This year, we have brought forward changes that were not expected in the Australian domain registrar market for another 12 to 18 months. The cost of registering a ‘.au’ domain name is now on par with registering a similar .com address. We are witnessing the much-expected commoditisation of domain pricing. “Our aim now is to be the Intel of web hosting offering more and more functionality on a regular basis while bringing new hosting packages to market all backed up by round the clock technical support and account management excellence,” he said.
